Vizcaya is a magical place.  It is so green, alive and overflowing with beauty.  Such a perfect setting for our engagement photography in Miami with Emmanuel and Caroline.  Emmanuel actually proposed to Caroline that morning! He really did a fantastic job.  They live up North in 2 different states. He flew to visit her, surprised her with plane tickets to Miami and then the day after they arrived he proposed!  Quite a surprise.  Emmanuel called and asked us to capture the romance of the day.  We were delighted!  So, we met at Vizcaya in downtown Miami.  It was such a delicious backdrop for our engagement photography session.  These 2 lovers were so adorable.  As you can see, their love created a wonderful atmosphere to photograph.

Andrew and Chrissy - Beach Engagement Session Photography South Florida - Curtis Copeland

Andrew and Chrissy are both intelligent, energetic and hilariously funny (Rock the casba!) For our first stop of their engagement photography we went to the beach.  It was a warm, relaxing day.  As I usually do with couples, I suggested they just talk to each other while I shoot.  Always makes for great pictures! They just wrapped themselves in each other while I disappeared into the background.  That is one of the things we focus (careful how you say it!) on here at Copeland Photography - bringing a sense of peace and relaxation to a shoot.  Our second shoot was at an old abandonded house.  The rustic and grungy look was a cool background to this couple's kissing and cuddling. This perky pair is getting wed soon. We can't wait to be there with them!

Didi and Pedro- Portrait Photography South Florida - Curtis Copeland

Pedro and Didi are a cute couple.  He has a hilarious sense of humor - and can quote almost any movie line known to man - while doing believable voice impersinations!  She is a , cute, quiet and intellectual girl that works at the Good News of South Florida.  Together they make a great couple!  We headed to Fern Forrest park for an afternoon portrait photography session.... and some great laughs!

Monica and I Are OFFICIAL!

Well, it is REALLY official! Monica and I are engaged!  It worked out amazingly well.  I asked her manager, Don King (NOT the fight promoter!) if he would call a business meeting for their department.  No one else knew, so they thought it was just a regular business lunch.  But, my surprise was in the works!  I called all of our friends to come be with us.  All of our friends an myself were hiding in a back room.  So, at the beginning of the lunch, all of our friends walked out from our secret location.  When she saw them, she knew then what was going on (she’s a smart girl!).  They stood around her table at the restaurant staring at her and smiling.  Then I came out in a suit and tie with a dozen roses.  I read a note to her I wrote. (It is below this entry).  I just kept looking at the paper, saying to myself “read the paper.  Just read the paper.  Keep reading the paper”.  I knew if I looked in her eyes I would lose it and cry. Then I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.  She stuck her hand out, eagerly wanting the ring.  I said “Wait - you haven’t said yes”.  So, she yelled “Yes! Yes! Yes!” 

I am a very blessed man!  So, now the wedding plans begin!  Our date is June 21st.  More to come!

Billy and Michelle - Engagement Photography - Curtis Copeland

What an amazing looking couple!  Billy and Michelle are so much fun!  For the engagement photography shoot went to Las Olas for a while and then to a hotel named "Venezia"!.    We laughed and shared for hours.  We finished with dinner at Chees Cake Factory.  It was great!  Take a look at their pics and you can see what an adorable couple they are!  They are so in love and it shows!

Mike and Ana's Engagement Session

What a cute couple!  Full of energy and enthusiasm.  We has a fantastic time at the beach.  Then, we went to "Joe Picasos's" art bar.  It is a coffee house that also has ceramics and mosaics which anyone can made there.   Fun creative time.  

Their wedding is coming up soon!
